The aquaponik manufaktur GmbH was founded to plan, build, monitor and maintain aquaponics systems in every possible size. As different the requirements of these systems are for hobbyists and professionals, as different are our solutions.
In contrast to small systems for self sufficiency, we assume that systems for agriculture or biogas plant operators should be at least about 1.000 bis 2.000 square meters, in order to work profitable. These systems should also work automated to a large extent and the production processes in the systems could be optimized to a maximum.
Compared to conventional agriculture, the combination of the different cultures in aquaponics systems produce a strong synergy effect and thus an additional value. The added value is based upon a low priced filtering of the aquaculture together with a double profit through the fish food, which feeds the fish and indirectly also the hydroponic culture
To gain a maximum of knowledge from the beginning, we started right after the formation of the company with our investments in research and development. With the funding of a pHd-student who does research work in aquaponics together with other scientists, we already had a few times the opportunity to contribute to the scientific work in the field of aquaponics.
